RIO RANCHO RESIDENTIAL SERVICE:

Trash and recycle carts must be curbside by 7:00 a.m. All trash and recyclables must fit in the carts with lids closed. All carts must be placed 4 feet from any fixed object (mailboxes, cars, etc) or another cart. We recommend bagging your trash before placing it in your cart to avoid flying debris coming out of the carts and to keep the cart clean. DO NOT PUT ANY HOT ASHES AND/OR OTHER HOT OR FLAMMABLE MATERIALS in your cart(s).

RIO RANCHO RESIDENTIAL RATES:

Effective January 1, 2009, which includes franchise fees and tax.

  • Residential - $13.55 per month
  • Additional cart - $ 6.73 per month for each additional cart
  • Re-load cart - $ 6.73 per occurrence
HELP IS AT HAND:

If your household's income is low and it is a struggle to pay your Waste Management bill, help is available through Storehouse West, a Rio Rancho non-profit organization under contract with the City.

Call Storehouse West at 892-2077 during office hours to learn more, Mondays & Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m.

RIO RANCHO RESIDENTIAL BILLING:

Semi-annual payments will save you mailing and check charges. You may still pay quarterly or monthly. For your convenience, payments can be made check, "check-by-phone", or credit card. We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards. These payments can be handled by calling our customer service center, paying at our local office, or on-line at our website the address is: www.wm.com please refer to your invoice for your account numbers when using this option.

SPRING YARD WASTE CLEAN UP - WEEK OF MAY 4, 2009 - MAY 8, 2009

Waste Management will be collecting trimmings, leaves, branches, grass clippings, weeds and other vegetative matter on a curbside basis at no charge. Appointments must be made by April 30, 2009. Call 892-1200 to schedule the appointment. LIMIT 10 BAGS / BUNDLES. All waste must be bagged or bundled, no heavier than 40 pounds per bag or bundle. All trimmings or branches must be cut into 4-foot lengths and tied. Bags and bundles should be left at the curb.

RIO RANCHO RESIDENTIAL MONTHLY YARD WASTE COLLECTION:

Waste Management will be collecting green waste and yard trimmings from residents in the City of Rio Rancho upon request and for a fee. The collection will be done by appointment and the residential customer must request the service. This collection will be done on the 2nd Saturday of each month. If you desire to have green waste picked up you must call the Customer Service Department at 892-1200 to schedule the pick up. The call must be made no later than 3:00 P.M. three days prior to the collection.

RIO RANCHO RESIDENTIAL BULKY ITEM COLLECTION:

Oversized items/white goods will be picked up for an additional charge on the first Saturday of each month. Please schedule all special pick-ups with our customer service center at 892-1200.

RIO RANCHO SANITARY LANDFILL:

Located at Northern Blvd. and 33rd St. - 892-2055
Landfill hours: Mondays - Fridays 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Rio Rancho Residents receive a special rate.

RIO RANCHO CURBSIDE RECYCLING

Residential recycling service is done on the same day as your trash collection. We appreciate all the efforts being made to recycle. Proper recycling will ensure that good, clean loads are being taken to the recycling center. Recycle carts may be ordered by calling our Customer Service Center at 892-1200. There is no additional charge to recycle.
