PUBLIC INVITED TO RIO RANCHO LANDFILL COMMUNITY MEETING AND TOUR
RIO RANCHO, May 23, 2007 - The Rio Rancho Landfill and Waste Management of New Mexico invite the public to attend a community meeting to discus expansion and closure plans for the landfill. The meeting is open to the public on June 6, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1771 Rio Rancho Blvd.
The community of Rio Rancho is invited to learn about future plans for the landfill and to ask questions about the potential impact of the expansion. They also will participate in a discussion on future use of the property after the landfill closes.
Light refreshments will be served.
The Rio Rancho Landfill also is conducting a pre-meeting tour of the landfill on Saturday, June 2, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The public is welcome to attend this tour to learn about the project and meet the landfill team. The group will meet on Northern Blvd & 33rd Street (turn north on 33rd to enter the landfill), in Rio Rancho.
